You can mouseover for a tooltip on precisely how Diablo III calculates this damage. Here's an example (Quin's profile on d3planner): Ĭlick 'skills/effects' at the top of the center column, and the second entry should be mystic ally. While the explosions are also AoE, they are range-limited and if they allies go off on 1 mob, that's it, it's done, it doesn't bounce around like the cold mystic allies does. The only other contender would be fire, which only does 480% explosion damage after splitting into 5 fire allies, or 10 allies with crudest boots. For each ally, (which gives you 625% * 7 * 2 * bounces.*modifiers debuffs buffs etc.) Note that each cold-based mystic ally does a special attack of 625% weapon damage, 7 times (and if you watch the animation, they appear to bounce among enemies and be AoE). ![]() These easily outdamage the normal autoattacks (either physical, cold, or fire version), which you can see by the obvious spike in damage when you activate your mystic ally skill on your skillbar, causing them all to proc their special attacks. ![]() If you look at your character on d3planner, then go to the tab in the middle column, and look at mystic ally, you can see that the WAVE damage does the most damage of all the allies' special abilities. Most of the allies are physical, but the two that do AoE are elemental: Fire, and Cold. What do you think?Īlso, 1 question, why is %Cold the priority? I thought that mystic allies dmg is physical? (Except for when you activated them) This led me to to consider swapping the equipped Spirit Guards with Binding of the Lesser God, and then cube Tasker and Theo instead, at least for lower GR. My inna daibo is not even ancient and I just rolled into GR 60 without much trouble.
